The Battlefield report highlights exactly who is bidding on each of your monitored keywords and the position that they are appearing in. This data is collated once every hour to give a comprehensive breakdown of your competitor’s activity throughout the day.

The Battlefield report allows you assess a number of critical factors about your campaign which can have a significant influence on your cost-per-click (CPC). Whether you monitor the battlefield on a daily or weekly basis, you will often find that changes in CPC are interrelated with competitors entering, dropping out and changing their bid aggression in the space.

The biggest benefit of this report is that you will be able to assess the times of day that your competitors are increasing their aggression and bid strategy. Are they capitalising on periods of high volume or lower cost traffic? Does your day parting strategy need reviewing in order to capitalise on periods where your competitors are less aggressive?

If affiliates are bidding on your keywords, which often occurs outside of traditional office hours as the likelihood of being detected is reduced; the Battlefield report will highlight which if any affiliates are bidding on your key terms at particular times of the day.

The Battlefield report will also highlight any new competitors that have come into the marketplace, allowing you to monitor their progress and pre-empt any potential threat that they may pose to your campaign.
